“Unfortunately, during the search and rescue operations, rescuers retrieved one dead person,” the Emergencies Ministry said.
On January 18, an avalanche occurred in the village of Dombai in Karachay-Cherkessia.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, from four to 12 people could be under the snow.
Later it became known that six people were able to get out from under the snow after an avalanche.
One person was killed.
