Forty-eight hours after the implementation of the national curfew at 6 p.m., the president of Système U and owner of a Super U store in Fessenheim in the Haut-Rhin, Dominique Schelcher, was the guest of Julian Bugier in Europe Evening.

In accordance with what was expected by food businesses, he explained that he observed a change in the habits of the French, who are trying to organize themselves differently.

"Customers come earlier in the day, there is a peak in the middle of the afternoon and things are spread out. Concretely, people in the countryside come more on Saturdays, and there is also a small peak. Wednesday. In urban areas, it is a little more difficult on Saturday, so people take advantage of Sunday. Shops that open on Sunday have seen an increase in their attendance, "said Dominique Schelcher.

"For the moment, in our activity, the curfew at 6 pm has no impact. People organize themselves differently," he said.

U stores have also adapted to this measure in connection with the health crisis and have brought forward their opening hours.
