Saarbrücken (dpa / lrs) - The health authorities in Saarland registered 48 new infections with the corona virus on Monday compared to the previous day.
The number of sick people has increased to 23,490 since the beginning of the pandemic, as the Ministry of Health in Saarbrücken announced (as of 4:00 p.m.).
The reported number of people who died from or with the virus rose by 10 to 652.
According to the ministry, 1619 people are currently infected.
280 are treated as inpatients, 80 of them in intensive care units.
The 7-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past 7 days, was 109.9 nationwide.
