Wiesbaden / Berlin (dpa / lhe) - The number of corona infections in Hesse increased by 422 within one day (as of 0.00 a.m.).
That comes from the data of the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin.
The number of people who have been infected with the virus since the beginning of the pandemic rose to 158,968 on Monday. The number of deaths with or from Corona rose by 28 to 3964. Within seven days, 129.3 new infections per year were nationwide 100,000 inhabitants registered.
However, the number of cases on Mondays is usually lower because fewer tests are carried out on the weekend.
Furthermore, numerous people infected with the coronavirus were in Hessian hospitals.
According to the intensive care register of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (Divi), 442 corona patients were treated in intensive care units on Monday (as of 12.15 p.m.).
That corresponded to 25 percent of all intensive care beds occupied.
238 Covid-19 patients were ventilated.
Throughout Hessen - also with patients with other diseases - 1765 of 2087 intensive care beds were occupied.
