Giengen an der Brenz (dpa / lsw) - Two people were injured in a fire in Giengen an der Brenz (Heidenheim district).
The fire broke out early Sunday morning for unknown reasons in the stairwell of an apartment building, said a police spokesman.
Two people were rescued by the fire brigade using ladders.
The injured were taken to hospital with respiratory problems.
According to the police, the four apartments are not habitable for the time being.
How badly the house was damaged in the fire was still unclear.
At first, the police spoke of six injured people.
