Cologne (dpa) - The candidate field for the 14th season of the RTL dance show "Let's Dance" has been determined.
As the broadcaster announced on Sunday, the former Tagesschau spokesman Jan Hofer (68) and the sociologist and journalist Auma Obama (60), the half-sister of the former US President Barack Obama, will participate this year.
"After almost 36 years as a man without a lower abdomen, I am pleased that I can present myself in my full stately size (172 cm)," Hofer is quoted as saying.

Other participants are ex- "Prince Charming" Nicolas Puschmann (29), sports reporter Kai Ebel (55), actress Valentina Pahde (26), pop singer Mickie Krause (50), singer Senna Gammour (41), actor Erol Sander (52), Presenter Lola Weippert (24), ex-soccer player Rúrik Gíslason (32), musician Ilse DeLange (43), model Kim Riekenberg (26), boxer Simon Zachenhuber (22) and singer Vanessa Neigert (28).
