Jimmy Anjevall has extensive experience of electric cars and charging infrastructure.

Both in his current job at Jämtkraft and from his previous work with sustainable development within Region Jämtland Härjedalen.

And he is not surprised by the statistics on which one of the industry magazines bases an article.

There, Jämtland is singled out as one of the counties with the most electric cars in relation to the population.

- There is an ever-increasing interest throughout the country and not least here in the county.

Just look at the numbers.

"Green Highway" has helped

Jimmy Anjevall points out that a major reason why Jämtland is far ahead when it comes to electric cars, is due to the project "Green Highway" which already ten years ago began to build a charging infrastructure along the E14 between Sundsvall and Trondheim.

At that time, there were only between five and ten clean electric cars in the area.

- That we dared to invest even then, we have huge benefit from today, says Jimmy Anjevall.

The second car becomes pre-stable

Many households outside the urban areas in the county are often dependent on two cars.

A tip from Jimmy Anjevall is to replace one of them with an electric car.

- Many people buy an electric car as a second car, but it usually ends up being the car that is driven the most.

The development of battery capacity has also gone so far now that it can be used like any ordinary car.

In the clip, Jimmy Anjevall tells more about why he thinks that electric cars can be extra suitable for the countryside in particular.
