The depletion of the famous "Beja" eaters in Iraq caused customers to retaliate from a restaurant in the Kurdistan region, smashing it and shooting hundreds of bullets at it, which sparked anger on communication sites and prompted the governor of Erbil to vow to punish the attackers.

According to Iraqi websites, the incident occurred on Friday, after a group of people attended to eat the "Beja" meal at the "Samal" restaurant located near the historic Citadel of Erbil, before the owner of the restaurant told them that he had run out of food.

As soon as they heard that, these people entered into an altercation with the owner of the restaurant and threatened him and assaulted the workers, to come again with additional weapons, and fire more than 500 bullets towards the glass facades and inside the restaurant;

As a result, two restaurant workers were injured, and the restaurant and 3 other nearby shops were damaged.

Trivial reason

Many social media users have expressed their anger at what happened, expressing their disapproval of shooting for a trivial reason.

Twitter user Hussam Al-Taie said that psychological pressures push some Iraqis to practice these strange behaviors.

"Al-Baja is over" Because of this sentence, 3 people shoot 500 bullets at the owner of the restaurant, without causing any human casualties!

The governor of Erbil, Hayman Qadir Agency, vowed in an official statement to prosecute the accused and hold them accountable, stressing that "criminals will not be allowed to escape from the law and attack people's property, stability and security, and assault workers."

Later, a source in the Kurdish Peshmerga forces announced the arrest of the people who attacked the restaurant.
