INTERVIEW

The Covid-19 vaccination campaign will enter a new phase in France from Monday with the first vaccinations of people with high-risk pathologies and individuals over the age of 75.

Geneticist and president of the National League against cancer, Axel Kahn said Sunday on Europe 1 "extremely satisfied" that the government announced "that 100,000 of these people with cancer can be vaccinated as a priority".

But the specialist predicts "that we will experience in the coming days a lot of disorganization and a lot of waiting, anxiety, even frustration".

In total, six million French people would be affected by this new stage of the vaccination campaign, including 800,000 suffering from serious pathologies listed by the authorities.

"This phase of the vaccination of vulnerable people begins tomorrow morning. There are [ura] difficulties, traffic jams at the level of standards", insists Axel Kahn.

“We will try to do everything possible to help people weakened by cancer treatment to have better access” to vaccination.
