January 17, 2021Dr Dre returned home Saturday after being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to American media for a brain aneurysm.

In a January 5 social media post, Dr Dre, 55, said he was "improving a lot and receiving excellent care from the medical staff."

Actor and rapper Ice T wrote that he talked to the artist on FaceTime that he is "back home. Safe and looking good."



His real name is Andre Young, born in Compton, California. Southern, and burst onto the music scene as a co-founder member of NWA, producing the groundbreaking 1988 debut album, "Straight Outta Compton."

He also produced Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Jay-Z and Nas.

And outside of rap he worked in pop with Gwen Stefani and Mary J. Blige.

Dr. Dre founded Beats Electronics in 2008 with Jimmy Iovine and six years later they launched a streaming subscription service, Beats Music.

Apple then acquired the companies on a $ 3 billion deal in 2014.
