The UAE has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attempts of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia to target the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through three booby-trapped drones, intercepted by the coalition forces in support of legitimacy in Yemen, and the UAE renewed, in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Its full solidarity with the Kingdom regarding these cowardly terrorist attacks, standing with it in one line against every threat to its security and stability, and its support in all measures it takes to preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents on its lands.

The statement emphasized that the security of the United Arab Emirates and the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are indivisible, and that any threat or danger facing the Kingdom is considered by the state as a threat to its security and stability system.

The statement indicated that the continuation of these attacks illustrates the nature of the danger facing the region from the Houthi coup, and considered it new evidence of these militias' efforts to undermine security and stability in the region.

The spokesman for the coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, confirmed, in a statement, the day before yesterday, that the joint coalition forces were able to intercept and destroy three booby-trapped drones towards the Kingdom.

Brigadier General Al-Maliki clarified that the booby-trapped UAVs were detected by the terrorist Houthi militia, from Al-Hodeidah Governorate, and were intercepted and destroyed.

He added that the terrorist Houthi militia continues to violate the Stockholm Agreement, violating the ceasefire in Hodeidah, and continues to take Hodeidah Governorate as a place for launching hostilities and terrorist operations, by launching ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drones, as well as launching explosive and remote-controlled boat attacks, which represent a real threat to regional security. And international, and to undermine the political efforts of the Stockholm Agreement.

Brigadier General Al-Maliki indicated that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition is taking and implementing appropriate measures to deal with these hostile and terrorist acts, in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules, while continuing to support the political efforts of the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen, to end the coup and reach a comprehensive political solution.
