"In order to prevent the spread of the virus and its possible consequences, it was decided to extend the period of the special quarantine regime in the country until 06:00 on April 1, 2021," the TASS report was quoted as saying.

At the same time, the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers decided to soften from January 18, some of the restrictions that were introduced under a special quarantine regime.

On January 5, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that in the coming days, the country is expected to receive a vaccine against the coronavirus.
