Kiel (dpa / lno) - The FDP in the Kiel state parliament is demanding that the federal government provide the fastest possible information about its findings on mutations of the corona virus.

These had already played a role at the Prime Minister's Conference on January 5th, said parliamentary group leader Christopher Vogt of the German Press Agency.

"If there is new knowledge that confronts us with serious problems, we have to play with open cards towards the countries and the citizens."

In Schleswig-Holstein, falling infection numbers can be observed again with all problems and the tightened measures that have been in place since Monday have not yet taken effect.

"Broad acceptance among the population is extremely important for the success of the measures," explained Vogt.

"This must not be jeopardized by the permanent piercing of internal party bodies."

The proportionality and side effects of the measures should not be lost sight of.

"Young families in particular reach their limits at some point."

The federal government should no longer be able to make serious mistakes, such as in the economic aid, where promises are now partially being collected, said Vogt.

It is now crucial to accelerate vaccination nationwide and to improve the protection of old people's and nursing homes.

In addition, the testing of people arriving from particularly high-risk countries must be ensured.

"It is incomprehensible that shortly after the Prime Minister's Conferences, some heads of government repeatedly demand new nationwide tightening, while their own countries have a particularly high incidence and - as is now the case with day-care centers and schools - they deviate from the agreements," said Vogt .
