For the first time in mountain history, a climbing team made up of Nepalese has successfully climbed the Himalayan K2 Peak in winter.

Local media such as the Kathmandu Post reported on the 16th local time that a climbing team made up of 10 Nepali Sherpas reached the summit this afternoon.

K2 is the second highest peak in the world after Everest, and among mountaineers it is even more difficult to climb than Everest.

In particular, K2 in winter was'impregnable' and remained the only mountain that had not been ascended in winter among 14 high peaks over 8,000m.
