Berlin (dpa / bb) - 22 other people died in Berlin after being infected with corona.
The number of deaths related to the virus rises to 1822, according to the Senate Health Administration's report on Saturday.
Most deaths so far have been in the 80 to 89 age group (797 cases).
495 new infections were reported within one day, around half as many as the day before (990).
However, fewer new infections are usually registered on the weekend.
A total of 112 232 people have been infected so far, of which 93 823 are considered recovered.
An important value for the state government is the so-called 7-day incidence: Within one week, 164.1 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants were reported.

The planned restriction of freedom of movement does not take effect for the time being: Only when the limit of 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants is exceeded, Berliners should only be allowed to move a maximum of 15 kilometers away from the city limits.
Exceptions are also made in this case - for example for visits to the doctor, court appointments or caring for relatives.
The Berlin Senate also considers two other values in its traffic light system.
Not only the traffic light for the incidence is red, but also for the occupancy rate of the intensive care beds (32.1 percent).
For the reproduction number (R value), however, the traffic light remains green.
The R value on Saturday was 0.95.
It describes how many people an infected person infects on average.
In order to slow the pandemic, the value must be significantly less than 1.
