The Brazilian pharmaceutical company Uniao Quimica and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) have sent a request to the National Sanitary Inspection Agency (Anvisa) of Brazil for approval of the Russian Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use.
“Uniao Quimica and RDIF on January 15 registered with Anvisa a request for temporary emergency use in Brazil of 10 million doses of Sputnik V vaccine,” the pharmaceutical manufacturer said in a statement.
Earlier, RDIF and União Quimica agreed to supply Brazil with 10 million doses of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine.
