Zakopane (dpa) - The German ski jumpers disappointed in the team competition in Poland and clearly did not make it onto the podium.

Markus Eisenbichler, Karl Geiger, Severin Freund and Pius Paschke only took sixth place in snowy Zakopane.

The longest jump in the quartet of the German Ski Association was made by Geiger, who landed in the second round after 135.5 meters.

The Austrians secured the victory.

Second place went to the hosts for Four Hills Tournament winner Kamil Stoch, while Norway came in third.
