Berlin (dpa / bb) - With tractors honking, the annual “We're fed up” demonstration is pulling through Berlin this Saturday (10:00 am).

Farmers, climate activists and animal rights activists are calling for a change in agricultural policy.

To do this, they want to move in front of the CDU federal headquarters and the Federal Chancellery.

For example, there is a demand to significantly reduce the number of animals in the stalls and meat consumption.

In addition to more animal and climate protection in agriculture, politics should secure a future for farms in Germany.

An alliance of 60 organizations called for the demonstration, including the working group for rural agriculture, organic farming associations, church aid organizations and the Federation for the Environment and Nature Conservation Germany.

Several tens of thousands of participants have attended the demonstration in recent years.

Because of the Corona crisis, around 150 participants and 15 to 25 tractors are expected this year.
