A new day of mobilization takes place in Paris and throughout France this Saturday against, in particular, the global security law.

Although the number of demonstrators is not known, a major law enforcement system is planned, including 28 mobile force units.

New mobilizations for "the defense of freedoms" are planned this Saturday.

More than 80 rallies are organized throughout France at the call of several unions and associations to protest in particular against the global security law.

In Paris, where the most people are expected, the procession will start from Place Daumesnil to join Bastille from 2 p.m.

A major police system will be put in place.

More than 2,700 men mobilized ...

In the capital, a large number of troops will be deployed, starting with 38 mobile force units, or nearly 2,700 men just for the CRS and mobile gendarmes.

To this, we must add the forces of the police headquarters, motorized brigades (BRAV) as well as intervention companies.

The strategy could well resemble what was done during the last event of this type on December 12 in Paris: a fairly short route but squared and very supervised by the police all along the route with controls upstream.

From the point of view of the authorities, this last mobilization had been a success 142 arrests and little damage.

... and 5,000 to 10,000 demonstrators expected

For their part, several unions and associations denounced the rigidity of the device.

Among the demonstrators arrested, a dozen even lodged a complaint against Didier Lallement the Paris police prefect for arbitrary arrest.

They are based on the fact that the vast majority of people arrested have not been prosecuted.

The unknown of the demonstration remains the number of demonstrators.

Estimates range from 5,000 to 10,000 depending on the authorities, including 200 to 400 radical elements.

The forks are therefore quite wide and not everyone is at ease.

"This is the first mobilization after the truce of the confectioners, so we must expect everything" explained a police source.
