The Italian skier Marta Bassino won on Saturday ahead of Tessa Worley the World Cup giant Kranjska Gora, who did not upset the general classification still dominated by the Slovakian Petra Vlhova.

Under the Slovenian sun, Bassino delivered a perfect performance, dominating both heats to finally win with an 80 / 100th lead over Worley and 1 sec 46 over the Swiss Michelle Gisin, who took ten points from Vlhova but remains behind 114 points in the general classification of the World Cup.

In the classification of the specialty, Bassino takes advantage of his third victory in four giants this season to take the lead, with a 50 point lead over his compatriot Federica Brignone, 5th on Saturday.

Among the French, Tessa Worley signed her second podium of the season in giant, after a 3rd place in December in Courchevel.

Doriane Escané scored her first World Cup points at 22 thanks to her 20th final place.

A second giant is scheduled for Sunday in Kranjska Gora, where the events initially scheduled for Maribor have been moved due to a lack of snow in the low-lying Slovenian town.
