Munich (dpa / lby) - The corona situation in Bavaria has relaxed a little with a view to the number of infections.

On Saturday, 22 districts and cities in the Free State were still above the incidence value of 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants, a decrease compared to the previous days.

This is evident from the daily update of the data from the Robert Koch Institute.

The Bavarian front runner is now the city of Bayreuth with an incidence of 315.6.

On Friday, 25 districts and cities had exceeded the 200 mark.

However, there is feedback and complaints from municipalities across Germany that data transmission via the new Demis electronic reporting system is not working properly and that the data are therefore not reliable.

In Bavaria, these have included the city of Nuremberg and the district of Munich in recent days.

For municipalities with an incidence value of over 200, the 15-kilometer rule applies, whose residents can only go on excursions within a radius of no more than 15 kilometers.

It comes into force automatically for the first time as soon as the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reports more than 200 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within one week in urban or rural districts.

In the meantime, some municipalities have dropped below the 200 mark again, including the Upper Bavarian district of Miesbach, which is very popular with day trippers and, like some other districts, has issued an entry ban for day trippers from abroad.

This is not going to change for the time being, as the incidence numbers have to be below 200 for at least a week before the authorities reverse restrictions on freedom of movement.
