“Two days ago we received a positive letter from Macron, which contains his desire to develop relations, to meet with our president.

He wrote a greeting in Turkish by hand: “Dear Tayyip,” the minister said.

He added that Erdogan reciprocated the French president.

According to the newspaper, first of all, we are talking about phone calls and videoconferences.

In October, the Turkish leader spoke of Macron's "anti-Islamic attacks" and "racist terrorism", calling the French president's words a threat to national security. 

This happened after France recalled the ambassador to Turkey because of Erdogan's words about Macron.

As reported by Anadolu agency, Erdogan recommended to his French colleague "to check his psyche."

He made this statement in connection with the fact that Macron called Islam "a religion in crisis around the world."
