The UN Security Council approved the candidacy of the Slovak diplomat, a graduate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) Jan Kubis, for the post of UN Secretary General's special envoy for Libya, TASS reports, citing a diplomatic source in the organization.
"Objections on this issue were accepted today until 17:00, no objections were received," TASS quotes its source.
It is noted that in this way, the decision is considered adopted.
Earlier, participants in the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum and the UN mission in Libya selected 18 members of the new advisory committee.
