Kiel (dpa / lno) - The Greens in Schleswig-Holstein consider a tightening of the corona lockdown to be conceivable.

"In view of the current development, we will also have to advise whether an extension of the measures beyond January and perhaps even a tightening will be necessary," said parliamentary group leader Eka von Kalben on Friday.

Nobody would like that, of course.

Every measure must also be carefully examined for its possible consequences.

"The current restrictions are an imposition for us all - for families, for the economy, for people living alone," said von Kalben.

"But unfortunately they are necessary because not doing anything would be an imposition for the health system and the people who have to suffer the disease."

A possible further tightening must urgently be linked to a long-term strategy, said von Kalben.

"The government's good phased plans for the individual sectors must become binding so that people know that there will be a return to an active life."

At the same time, aid for families, the economy and all other areas of society should be extended.

Von Kalben reiterated the demand for a right to work from home, so that contacts at work and in local transport can be further reduced.

"Mere appeals are no longer enough here."

The Greens also demanded an obligation to reserve seats wherever possible, but in any case a reduction in space on buses and trains.

"A complete shutdown of public transport can only be the last resort, because the people who actually have to leave their homes for work or shopping cannot all switch to their cars."
