Kyrie Irving, leader of the Broolyn Nets, will have to pay a fine of $ 50,000 (41,351 euros), plus $ 410,000 in payroll deduction per game missed, after partying last weekend in a closed place and without wearing a mask.

Absent since January 5, the American star will be able to find his team on Saturday, after five days of isolation, if he continues to provide negative tests for Covid-19, explained the NBA.

In addition to the 50,000 euros fine imposed by the League, Irving, who receives more than 34 million dollars (27 million euros) per year, must also put aside his salary in proportion to two missed matches during his isolation according to ESPN, or 816,898 dollars (675,513 euros).

NBA health protocol prohibits gatherings of more than 15 people in bars, nightclubs and other enclosed places.

The New York team, reinforced by the arrival of James Harden from Houston, is a candidate for the NBA title this season.

The franchise is currently 6th in the Eastern Conference (6 wins, 6 losses).
