Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - Because of possible apple stalks in muesli, the children's food manufacturer Milupa is calling back products.

Affected are “Milupa Kindermuesli Fruits”, “Milupa Kindermuesli Bircher” and “Milupa Children's Porridge Oats & Fruits”, the company said on Friday in Frankfurt am Main.

In exceptional cases, the stalks could get into the airways and cause injuries in the oral cavity.

According to Milupa, the products are approved for young children from ten months or one year old.

The mueslis were delivered from September 11th and are available in drugstores and retailers as well as online. Only batches with a best-before date are affected: December 28th, 2021 (children's muesli fruits 400g); 10/26/2021, 12/19/2021, 01/18/2022 (Bircher children's cereal 400g); 20.10.2021, 01.12.2021, 16.01.2022 (porridge oats & fruits 400g). Customers should contact the Milupa Parents Service or return the goods at the point of sale for a refund of the price or a replacement product.
