Cologne (dpa) - SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach expects a significant improvement in the corona situation for the summer.
"It is important that we vaccinate as soon as possible so that we can prevent serious mutations of the virus," said Lauterbach of the German press agency.
“We only have vaccines for about 25 million people in the first half of the year, that is until around the end of June.
Well over half of the population will not be vaccinated by the middle of the year.
But in the second half of the year we will experience a clear relief. "
Lauterbach does not expect that the vaccination coverage of the population will fail due to vaccination skepticism.
