January 15 2021 After the appeals of the Lombardy Region and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano against the establishment of the red zone, the Minister of Health launches an appeal to comply with the restrictive measures decided by the Government to fight the coronavirus epidemic.

"The ordinances are built on the basis of objective data and scientific guidelines. They have the purpose of containing the infection in an expansive phase of the epidemic. For this reason, respecting them is decisive if you do not want to lose control of the infection", warns Roberto Speranza.

From Sunday 17, the order of the Minister of Health provides for the inclusion of 12 regions in the orange zone, two (Lombardy and Sicily) plus the province of Bolzano in the red zone and only 5 plus the province of Trento in the yellow zone.

If Lombardy and Alto Adige have announced an appeal against the ordinance - the Lombard governor Fontana considers it "a punishment" -, the president of the Sicilian Region, Nello Musumeci, has instead signed the ordinance with which the Dpcm on the Covid emergency is implemented -19 and the decision taken with the Minister of Health.

The ordinance will be in force in Sicily from next Sunday to January 31st.
