Potsdam (dpa / bb) - In order to relieve clinics in the corona pandemic, Covid 19 patients will continue to be relocated to other hospitals.

Relocations are currently being carried out “very intensively”, but only within Brandenburg, as a spokesman for the Ministry of Health announced on Friday.

The central bed management in the country is carried out in cooperation with regional networks.

According to a general order from the Ministry of Health, every clinic must participate in the corona care.

In December, 40 Covid 19 patients were transferred from the Lusatian region, which is heavily infected by infections, to Berlin hospitals.

According to the ministry, rehabilitation clinics in the country are also involved in the care of Covid-19 patients.

The country has designated 16 rehabilitation clinics with 386 beds that can take on mild to moderate cases from busy clinics.

Meanwhile, vaccinations for medical staff at the clinics continue.

At the Carl Thiem Clinic in Cottbus, 900 employees have already been vaccinated within six days.

"In general, we experience a relatively high willingness to vaccinate," said spokeswoman Anja Kabisch.

The employees were informed in a campaign.

Posters with photos and a film with the first vaccinated colleagues and experience reports on vaccination were distributed in the house.

In addition, questions and answers about vaccination are currently being compiled, which are to be published on a vaccination homepage.

At the Ernst von Bergmann Clinic in Potsdam, 2,381 employees were vaccinated within ten days - that is 68 percent of the staff.

"The willingness to vaccinate among the hospital staff is gratifyingly high," reported Hans-Ulrich Schmidt, spokesman for the management.

The vaccinations are also in full swing at the Asklepios Clinic in Schwedt (Uckermark).

More than half of the staff has already received a “spade”, as the facility announced.

The individual vaccination doses are prepared by the experts from the pharmacy and administered by a team of doctors.
