"Despite Illa, we will."

Castilla y León maintains its decision to advance the curfew at 8:00 p.m.

The president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, has already signed the agreement that will be published tomorrow in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León and will enter tomorrow, Saturday.

It is all a challenge to Salvador Illa, who had denied this community the possibility of establishing more restrictive measures.

"Regarding the announcement by the Junta de Castilla y León to restrict free movement at night from 8:00 p.m., a communication from the Ministry of Health tells us that within the framework of the current decree of a state of alarm, there is no such restriction, "the ministry said in a statement.

Well, according to a report from the legal services of the Junta de Castilla y León, the curfew can be brought forward.

"This decision is endorsed by article 10" of the alarm decree.

By authorizing the extension of the state of alarm, the modification of this article is agreed, allowing "modulate, make flexible and suspend" the limitation of the freedom of movement of people whenever it is at night.

"Modular is modifying the factors that intervene in a process to obtain different results", justifies the Board in a statement.

Therefore, "the delegated authority is allowed to restrict the criteria for limiting the freedom of movement of people at night, seeking to obtain an improvement in the health situation", argues Castilla y León.

Thus, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, "as the delegated authority in Castilla y León", after the extension of the current state of alarm, "has the power to extend or restrict said freedom at night," defends this community.

After consulting with sanitary and epidemiological experts, "with the endorsement of the legal services of the Board", and after having held meetings with mayors, presidents of deputation and parliamentary spokesmen, the Junta de Castilla y León has adopted more new measures on its own. to stop the vertiginous increase in infections and accumulated incidence, which has multiplied almost by five since January 1 in the community.

From eight in the afternoon to six in the morning, "people may only circulate on the roads or spaces for public use to carry out the activities authorized" in the alarm decree.

For example, the acquisition of medicines, assistance to health centers or work, or trips to care for the elderly, minors, dependents, people with disabilities or especially vulnerable people, as well as attendance at classroom activities in schools.

Likewise, at 8:00 p.m. the limitation of the entry and exit of people from the territory of each of the provinces of Castilla y León will come into effect, "except for all those displacements, adequately justified, that occur for any of the excepted reasons. ".

Third, the permanence of groups of people in public and private spaces is also limited to a maximum number of four people, "except in the case of cohabitants, which is expected to significantly reduce mobility and social interaction."

This measure does not affect establishments open to the public that have a specific regime.

Finally, the capacity for religious meetings, celebrations and gatherings, so that a third of its capacity is not exceeded, with a maximum of 25 people.
