Gelsenkirchen (AP) - The return of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to FC Schalke 04 is becoming more and more likely.

After scoring top runners Ajax Amsterdam with two goals in the final minutes to make it 3-1 over FC Twente, the 37-year-old striker confirmed the Gelsenkircheners' interest on Thursday evening.

"Schalke 04 asked Ajax about me," said Huntelaar in a TV interview with ESPN.
