  According to reports, during the final stage of the exercise, various types of cruise missiles launched from the coast and ships successfully hit targets located in the northern Indian Ocean and at the exercise site.

On January 13, 2021 local time, in the Gulf of Oman, Iran, the Iranian Navy held a military exercise involving the Oman Sea and parts of the northern Indian Ocean.

The logistics ship "Mokran", one of the largest "helicopter carriers" of the Iranian Navy, participated in the exercise that day.

  The Iranian military pointed out that during the exercise, the Iranian "Fatah" class submarine launched a torpedo for the first time during the exercise and hit the target.

  According to reports, Iran regularly conducts military exercises.

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was previously operational at an underground missile base on the coast of the Persian Gulf.

  The Iranian Navy held a military exercise in the southern part of the country on the 13th. The exercise involved the Oman Sea and parts of the northern Indian Ocean.

The Iranian logistics ship "Mokran" participated in the exercise. As one of the largest "helicopter carriers" of the Iranian Navy, the Mokran Sea Base will provide logistical support for the navy's combat fleet in international waters.

  Cavani, a spokesperson for the military exercise, said that the exercise will allow the military to assess the effective response of the troops to possible threats from the enemy, make up for the weaknesses exposed during the exercise, and improve the combat capabilities of the troops.

  This military exercise is the third exercise of the Iranian armed forces this month after the Iranian army’s large-scale drone exercises and the Revolutionary Guard’s paramilitary “Baschi” maritime exercise.
