It was 19-year-old Mikael Sundlöf in Bjärtrå who plowed for the ambulance that did not arrive the night before Tuesday.

He was out plowing the E4 during the intense snowfall, when his boss called and asked him to help the ambulance.

Hear more about it in the clip.

Accustomed to complaints - more fun with praise

The ambulance staff who received help then called for the helpful driver when they participated in SVT's morning studio.

They had only seen the hero through the window of the plow truck.

- He or she saved us, so that we can save you, said ambulance nurse Annie Skimmermo to SVT.

Behind the wheel sat 19-year-old Mikael Sundlöf.

- It feels good that someone was grateful for what they did.

Otherwise, they may always complain, but they were very happy with what I did.

Intensive work on the roads

For 17 hours he worked to keep the roads open during the snowstorm.

- It was not high weather.

It was very windy and snowing.

But it feels good to be able to do something good for society.

Shoulders the boss's confidence

He recently took his truck driver's license and graduated from Sollefteå Gymnasium this spring.

Now he has his "own" plow truck that his boss bought for him.

- He believed in me and it seems to go the way.
