Severe frosts have arrived in large parts of the country after the end of Toini-Pyry in the early part of the week and as the weather falls.
Frost warnings are valid in almost the entire country northwest of Southwest Finland and South Karelia.
Toini-Pyry worsened driving conditions, but today driving driving warnings are no longer in force anywhere in the country.
The coldest readings are experienced in Lapland and elsewhere in the north, where temperatures are expected to drop to 35 degrees Celsius in some places, says the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
Foreca predicted yesterday that even the 40-degree limit could be touched in places.
