A 29-year-old man, suspected of seven or eight rapes of young adults between 2014 and 2020 was arrested on Tuesday near Toulouse.
It would have been rife in several cities including Limoges, Paris, Blois, Nevers.
The suspect, who had already been arrested for a case of sexual assault ten years ago, attracted his victims via social networks by posing as a young contemporary RnB singer from Rouen.
He used to meet them in apartments to abuse them.
There could be other victims
According to the judicial police of Limoges, a work of cross-checking between services made it possible to identify it.

We realized that it had prevailed mainly in Limoges but also in Paris, Blois and Nevers ”, indicated a source to the PJ, confirming information of Europe 1.
The suspect, whose circumstances of arrest were not specified, was referred this Thursday to the prosecution of Limoges then before an investigating judge for the purposes of indictment for aggravated rape.
"We are still cross-checking to find out if there are other victims," the same source said.
