Erfurt / Halle (dpa / th) - The Federal Cultural Foundation is making over 700,000 euros available for four projects in Thuringia this year.

A good 312,000 euros of this will go to projects in the theater project “Keinschlussstrich!”, Which deals with the deeds and background of the Thuringian terrorist cell “National Socialist Underground” (NSU) and is represented by the JenaKulur company owned by the city of Jena, like the one based in Halle Foundation announced on Thursday.

A total of 13 German cities are involved in the autumn with scenic readings, exhibitions and music performances.

The “Polyphon” joint project of museums in the twin cities of Gera and Saint-Denis will receive a further 103,400 euros.

“The exhibition is devoted to polyphony in an artistic and musical way and at the same time reflects on the socio-political dimension of polyphony,” said the Kulturstiftung, describing the makers' approach.

In the special aid program for digital interactions, two projects were approved in Thuringia: Together with the Leipzig Bach Festival and the Koethen Bach Festival, the Thuringian Bach Weeks want to develop an interactive streaming platform.

This is intended to "make Bach's music a new experience for an international audience and enable direct exchange with the artists at the concerts."

The implementation of the “BACHstream” is being supported with 200,000 euros.
