Helbedündorf (dpa / th) - After shots at at least two cats, the police in the Kyffhäuserkreis are investigating unknown animals because of animal cruelty.
The two cats were apparently shot in the village of Holzthaleben in the municipality of Helbedündorf in October and December, the police said on Thursday.
A white hangover suffered facial injuries between October 23 and 31.
The owner discovered the purulent wound, and a veterinarian diagnosed a gunshot wound.
Between December 1 and 7, strangers would also have injured the second animal in the family.
Here the owner noticed a change in the ear during a stroke.
During a visit to the vet, an air rifle bullet was found in the cat's ear.
Both animals survived.
