The first distribution organized in Lyon this Saturday is already complete.

But others will follow, as the needs have exploded in recent months among students.

To help young people, plunged into loneliness and precariousness due to the health crisis linked to the coronavirus pandemic, Les Restos du cœur have decided to devote one distribution per week to this audience.

It will be Saturday morning, in conjunction with the Gaelis student association, in the center of Maisons-Neuves, located in the 3rd arrondissement.

To benefit from a package, filled with food and hygiene products, students in need can register on the Gaelis site.

They will then benefit from weekly aid.

Students, plunged into food insecurity since the start of the crisis, can also visit the Agoraé site, these “supermarkets” created several years ago in Lyon 1 and Lyon 2, where the posted prices are 90% higher. lower than elsewhere.

Here again, it is necessary to register to be able to do your shopping in solidarity grocery stores.

A collective born in March is active with young people

Born in Lyon just before the first confinement to the initiation of teachers from Lyon-3, the student solidarity collective has also decided, faced with the worrying situations observed among young people, to relaunch this month the distribution of food packages, stopped in December for lack of suitable premises.

The association, which also offers a psychological unit and is looking for volunteers, invites the students concerned to book a package online and then to come and collect it, after having received instructions by email.
