Fürth (dpa / lby) - SpVgg Greuther Fürth can again plan against SC Paderborn in the 2nd Bundesliga with central defender Mergim Mavraj.

The 34-year-old will return to the squad for the home game on Friday (6.30 p.m. / Sky) after muscle problems.

Captain Branimir Hrgota, who recently came off the bench twice, is painless and will storm again from the start.

This was revealed by coach Stefan Leitl at the press conference on Thursday.

Mavraj was last in mid-December in a 3-0 draw against Eintracht Braunschweig.

The two new signings Luca Itter (SC Freiburg) and Marijan Cavar (Eintracht Frankfurt) are not yet options.

Left-back Itter, who is on loan until the end of the season, should be carefully built up, as should midfielder Cavar.

Both players were not used regularly at their releasing clubs.

After the defeat at Karlsruher SC (2: 3) a week ago, the Franks want to get back on the road to success against last year's first division team Paderborn.

"The meeting of the two teams can make for a spectacle", said Leitl and praised Steffen Baumgart's attacking team as a "really, really good team".
