Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The FDP in the state parliament relies on FFP2 masks in the fight against the corona pandemic.

For local transport, where many people come together, he considers an obligation to make sense, said parliamentary group leader Hans-Ulrich Rülke on Thursday in Stuttgart.

FFP2 masks must also be provided in inner cities, where desertification is threatened.

There it is not for a duty, but you could perhaps combine the masks with openings from February.

If you want to open your shop, you have to provide FFP2 masks for staff and customers, according to Rülke's consideration.

"This could be a measure to help retailers reopen their stores and perhaps prevent some of the bankruptcies."

As of Monday (January 18), the FFP2 mask requirement applies to public transport and when shopping in Bavaria. In other federal states, such a measure is not yet planned.
