On Wednesday evening, a young man was arrested for an attempted theft without breaking and entering in Lambersart, near Lille (North), we learned from the police.

He had left behind a very compromising element that he tried to recover.

The facts take place shortly before 9 p.m., in a house located rue de l'Abbé Lemire, in Lambersart.

The occupant of the house, a 53-year-old woman, notes that her home has just been visited.

It is not known if the thief took any objects away, but the door was not broken.

At the end of the line, his burglar

The victim contacted the police who confirmed the dispatch of a patrol on the spot as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the resident goes around the rooms to assess the extent of the damage.

It was then that she came across a cell phone that didn't belong to her.

Quickly, the phone beeps and the fifty-something picks up.

At the end of the line, it is the owner of the cell phone, and therefore its thief.

The man does not lack aplomb and asks his victim if he can come and recover his property.

A few moments later, here he shows up quietly on the scene of his crime, persuaded to get away with it.

Too bad for him, the police were already there.

The 24-year-old suspect was arrested and taken into custody.
