Bad Hersfeld / Homberg (dpa / lhe) - A truck driver crashed into a concrete wall in a traffic accident with his truck on Autobahn 7.
The 36-year-old man probably drove too fast in his vehicle on Tuesday evening and skidded between the Hersfeld (West) and Homberg (Efze) junction, as the police said.
The driver's cab then crashed into a concrete crash barrier, causing the tractor-trailer to move across the road.
All three lanes of the motorway were blocked - in addition, operating fluids such as engine oil leaked out of the vehicle and spread across the lane.
Due to rescue and cleaning work, the area of the accident site was partially and fully closed for several hours.
The truck driver was only slightly injured.
