The CDM on the anti Covid squeeze is underway

January 13, 2021 The Council of Ministers began shortly before 10pm in Palazzo Chigi, about an hour and a half late compared to the scheduled time of 20.30.

On the table are the new measures to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

"Dear Ministers, unfortunately this evening IV has taken on the serious responsibility of opening a government crisis. I sincerely regret, and I believe I can also interpret your thoughts, for the considerable damage that is being produced for our country due to a crisis government in the midst of a pandemic and a very severe test that the country is going through ".

Thus the Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, opened the Cdm in progress at Palazzo Chigi.

According to what is learned, the ordinances of the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, who will assign the bands to the various Regions, with relative restrictions, will come into force on Sunday 17 January.

On Saturday 16 January the new Dpcm will come into force which, according to what is learned, will maintain the main measures of the current provision, however providing criteria that will lower the thresholds for the inclusion of regions in the orange or red zone.

As for the day of Saturday 16, the prevailing hypothesis is that the current color divided into the different bands remains valid.

The new anti-Covid decree, which should be approved tonight by the Council of Ministers, governs the new so-called 'white zone' in which most of the restrictive measures are to cease.

In particular, in the draft of the legislative decree we read that it is the Minister of Health, with an ordinance, who identifies which regions will be.

These are those that "are placed in a type 1 scenario and with a low risk level, where in the relative territory there is a weekly incidence of infections, for two consecutive weeks, of less than 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants".

In these regions, the "measures cease to apply" provided for by the decree law that dictates the various limitations in force today.

Movement between Regions and autonomous provinces is prohibited "from January 16, 2021 to March 5, 2021", except for those "motivated by proven work needs or situations of necessity or for health reasons . In any case, it is allowed to return to one's residence, domicile or home ".

This is what a draft of the new decree law on the Covid emergency provides.

The draft confirms the rule that allows a maximum of two people to visit friends or family once a day.

In fact, the draft reads: "in the regional context, the movement towards a single inhabited private house is allowed, once a day, in a period of time between 05:00 and 22:00, and within the limits of two people other than those already cohabiting there, in addition to minors under the age of 14 over whom such persons exercise parental authority and disabled or non self-sufficient cohabiting people ".

The summit, convened by the Minister for Regional Affairs and Autonomies Francesco Boccia, with the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza, the extraordinary commissioner for the coronavirus emergency Domenico Arcuri, the Regions, the Anci and the Upi.

During the meeting, the vaccine plan and the new Dpcm will be discussed.
