Los Angeles (AP) - The children of actor and director Spike Lee (63, “Malcom X”) will be the ambassadors of this year's Golden Globes.

This was announced by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which awards the important film awards.

Satchel (26) and Jackson Lee (23) will be the first black siblings in the history of the HFPA to take on these ambassadorial positions.

"We are proud to continue our father's legacy of storytelling, to draw attention to groups we care about," said Satchel, according to the statement.

As representatives of the next generation of Hollywood, the ambassadors would campaign for a social cause of their choice, according to the announcement.

The virtual Golden Globes ceremony is scheduled for February 28th.
