Warendorf (dpa / lnw) - In the Warendorf district, five people were injured in several ice accidents on Wednesday night.

As a rule, the drivers came off the road and injured themselves easily, the police said on Wednesday morning.

A 57-year-old woman overturned her vehicle in Beckum late Tuesday evening and had to be taken to a hospital with an ambulance, slightly injured.

The car of a 24-year-old driver had also come off the road in a slight curve in Sassenberg-Füchtorf, rolled over and remained on the roof.

The woman was able to free herself from the car and was taken to a hospital.

Two accidents occurred on a country road in Oelda, with a 21-year-old woman being taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Background to the other injured was initially unknown.

The police continue to warn of slipperiness.
