The philosopher Alain Finkielkraut, fired Tuesday by LCI who had made him one of his columnists, promised Wednesday "to attack" the channel, because according to him "they are trafficking (his) words" on the Olivier Duhamel affair.

Alain Finkielkraut "will do everything possible to obtain justice and to recognize the extreme moral prejudice he suffers," he wrote in a statement.

"I want to go to court. And I am all the more determined to do so as LCI has removed the show from its website, which prevents everyone from getting a clear idea of what I said there. . I am thrown in the pasture ", declared the philosopher, questioned by AFP.

"I made the decision to attack when I saw that this show was no longer visible. They themselves, LCI, tamper with my words by sending a decontextualized passage" on Twitter, he added.

LCI accuses Mr. Finkielkraut of having, on Monday's 24 hour Pujadas program, exceeded the limits of "debate of ideas, argued and respectful".

In the case of alleged rape of which the political scientist Olivier Duhamel is accused on his stepson, "we do not have the elements, and when we try to do it, that is to say we say: but there is - did he have consent, at what age did it start, was there consent, whether or not there was a form of reciprocity, we immediately fall on you ", declared Mr. Finkielkraut.

The latter said his reasoning was misunderstood.

"Incest and pedophilia revolt him and he condemned with the most extreme firmness from the start of the program the charges against Olivier Duhamel", reads the press release sent by his entourage.

"In the Duhamel affair I do not presume that there is this consent, I do not know," Mr. Finkielkraut told AFP on Wednesday, adding: "Olivier Duhamel was really wrong, he did not there is no doubt about it ".

Asked by AFP, the channel declined to comment.
