Dubai Health plans to make the "Covid-19" vaccine available to everyone next March

The Dubai Health Authority plans to provide the "Pfizer-Bionic" vaccine to all groups of society in Dubai next March, after completing the vaccination of priority groups.


The Executive Director of the Supportive Medical Services and Nursing and the Chair of the Steering Committee for the Vaccination of "Covid-19" in the Authority, Dr. Farida Al-Khaja, told "Emirates Today" that the vaccination campaign in the centers of the authority is witnessing a daily increase in the number of those wishing to take the vaccine, which is likely to end the first phase. Before its scheduled date (end of March), and the beginning of the second phase before its scheduled date (early April).


The vaccination campaign is carried out in two phases, the first started on December 23 last year, targeting priority groups of citizens and residents, in groups that include senior citizens, elderly residents, people with chronic diseases, members of the first line of defense and vital jobs, while the second phase targets all segments of society.


Al-Khaja stated that the authority aims to achieve societal immunity, by covering at least 70% of the emirate’s population, adding that the vaccine is safe and effective to prevent “Covid-19”, asking all groups of society to take it.
