outgoing US President Donald Trump's YouTube channel was suspended

This was reported by the US broadcaster CNN, to which YouTube reported that, in a recent video shared on the platform, Trump incited violence.
That footage was removed, explains YouTube, which refused to share the details of the video.
In a week, Trump's suspension will be re-evaluated, explains the company, which also removed content from the White House channel for violating the rules.

THE OFFICIAL NOTE
"After careful review and in light of concerns about the potential ongoing violence, we removed the new content uploaded to the Trump channel and issued a warning for violating our violence incitement policies," reads in a release released a spokesperson for YouTube knows.
"As a result, it is not possible to upload new videos or live streams for a minimum of seven days" on Trump's page, the note continues, adding that the measure "could be extended".
