Dresden (dpa / sn) - The Saxon hotel and restaurant association Dehoga has criticized the slow payment of the November aid.

A good quarter of the companies (26.4 percent) in Saxony have not received any November aid, the association announced on Wednesday.

Many other companies have only received installments so far.

The December aid is pending, there is no perspective for a possible opening.

"The entrepreneurs feel abandoned by politics," said the Saxon Dehoga managing director Axel Klein.

The federal ministers had promised unbureaucratic help.

"The opposite is the case."

Klein spoke of “desperation and maximum frustration” in distressed companies and called for more speed in the processing of aid.

According to the latest survey, the catering businesses in the Free State recorded sales losses of more than 40 percent from March to December 2020, and every fifth entrepreneur (18.7 percent) is considering giving up their business.

The Dresden Chamber of Crafts also warned the federal and state governments to get economic aid on the way quickly.

"Before we talk about the lockdown extension, the promised economic aid must take effect," said Chamber President Jörg Dittrich.

For example, hairdressers that have had to remain closed for a month still cannot apply for support.
