January 13, 2021 The intensive care units occupied by Covid patients return, at the national level, above the alert threshold of 30%, reaching 31%, 1% more than 7 days ago.

The number of beds in the ward occupied by Covid patients also grew by 1% compared to a week ago, reaching 37% and remaining below the alert threshold of 40%.

However, there are 10 regions that exceed this 'critical threshold', one more than on January 6.

This is what emerges by analyzing the monitoring data of the National Agency for Regional Health Services (Agenas) for 12 January.

According to the decree of the Minister of Health of 30 April 2020, the alert threshold of intensive care places occupied by Covid patients has been set at 30%.

Based on yesterday's data, there are 9 regions in which it is exceeded: Emilia Romagna (31%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (39%), Lazio (35%), Lombardy (38%), Marche (36%), Autonomous Province Bolzano (32%), Autonomous Province of Trento (48%), Umbria (43%) and Veneto (36%).

As regards the places occupied in the 'non-critical' area, ie in the medical, pulmonology and infectious diseases departments, the limit threshold has been identified at 40%.

Exceeding this threshold are 10 regions, one more than a week ago: Emilia Romagna (45%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (53%), Lazio (45%), Liguria (42%), Marche (50%), Piedmont (46%), Autonomous Province of Bolzano (46%), Autonomous Province of Trento (57%), Puglia (41%) and Veneto (43%).
